I preordered and read this book the day it was available. As a community we all prayed, followed Officer Ryan’s story, and wanted to do what we could do to help. I was hopeful as a friend’s son had a similar occurrence and after a significant time frame he was about 99% rehabilitated. I so hoped this for him. This story had me in tears mostly and it showed this awful tragedy as it unfolded. I suffered the loss of my daughter and some stories are similar. You are on autopilot most of the time. Thanks for being open on your experience of loss of such a great man. He was one of the good ones. It is hard to keep going, you have made me think and heal some after reading this book.
